VFS Capital is one of the oldest and most reputable microfinance institutions in eastern India, having begun this work in 1996-97 and taken formal shape in 2006 as Village Financial Services. The first MFI in the east to have become an NBFC, it has nearly half a million borrowers across over 22,021 villages in 15 states.

I am writing this message on behalf of the VFS Family — 1,900 employees and its close to half a million customers spread over 283 branches across 15 states.

We are Eastern India’s oldest microfinance entity. For the past 40 years, we have been striving to change the lives of people at the bottom of the pyramid — not by lending money alone but by handholding them into their entrepreneurial journey.
